La Cuadra logo
La Cuadra the equestrian center owner asked me to create its logo; at that time, they had a wonderful Andalusian horse who was the star and the mascotte of the stable. This horse breed, properly called "pura raza española" is famous for elegance and beautiful movements; recognisable for the typical long head with broad forehead and convex profile, and especially for long arched neck and abundant flowing mane.
Once you’ve seen an Andalusian horse, it’s a breed that you won’t forget, it commands attention. Peculiarities that we were aiming for the new logo.
I realised a big format drawing with pencil, watercolours and ink in order to capture the movement of the horse head and the flow of the mane - now framed and hanged on the owner's home wall ;-)
The pastel version was temporary; as sport society logo, it needed to be dynamic, with a strong energy, so I decided for a vibrant classic red, on the negative profile shape of the horse.
